I didn't put out a post last week because there just wasn't anything to write about. We got back from America and crashed for a couple of days. Yasha and myself are the only people here now that Lola has gone back to Israel for good. It's been very quiet and boring. I've just been doing class each day and not a lot of anything else.
I did get to re-shoot my audition video which was nice. You can view the latest version at this link or in the side bar. It's not amazing, but it's the best I can do.
My ticket for London is booked on the 29th, so it's only 3 days till I'm out of here for good.
I found an awesome place to stay in London this time. Its at a hostel run by a Baptist church, and I will be sharing a room with one other guy. The good thing about this place is that it's in the same area that I stayed in last time. It's good to know where I'm going and not having to reorientate myself to a new part of the city.
So what am I going to do in London? The honest answer is that I have no idea. I'm obviously going to take classes and actively look for work, but I found a course at the Victorian Colledge of the Arts called Bachelor of Production that looks very tempting. This three year course would give me the experience and training to work backstage with a view to becoming a stage manager. The job involves training for a lot of organizing and problem solving to bring a show together. I think that sort of job would suit me, and I can use the past years of working in the theatre to my advantage. As an added bonus, you gain such a variety of skills, making you very employable. Anyway, I'm just going to take things as they come. Only God knows what is before us.
So that's it for posts from Georgia. Such a strange way to leave things. Coming here and working for an international ballet company was a dream come true on so many levels. I got to dance while being paid, work in a foreign country, experience life through a different culture, share some crazy adventures, party with ballerinas, hang out with stars of the ballet world and make some precious lifelong friendships. I'm definitely glad that I came here and had this experience. I just can't stay here. There are heaps of reasons, but mainly my life would dead end if I stayed here. There is so much more out there, so I'm jumping off the cliff again and seeing what happens. The dream has moved on and so must I.
I'll write again as soon as I can when I get to London,
Thanks for reading,
